Dan Bryant: First New Zealander on Everest

Lyn McKinnon, RuruInk, 2024

I was commissioned to create five maps to illustrate a biography of mountaineer Dan Bryant: the first New Zealander on Everest.

The maps covered the locations where Bryant climbed, including New Zealand, the European Alps, the Canadian Rockies, and the Himalaya.

The maps are a version of my Natural Basemap style. While providing a detailed context to the terrain, the labelling is limited to those features referred to in the text.
