Broken River Topographic Map

During summer/autumn the field is devoid of snow, but still open for walking, biking, etc.

This map was commissioned to help people find their way around the hills and forest.

Due to the scale of the map (1:10k), most of the features aren’t in the LINZ Topo50 data & had to be created from scratch, digitised by hand from 30cm imagery.

Hamilton Peak, Nervous Knob, and Mt Wall are labelled on Topo50 maps, but other peak and basin names are what they’ve known as to club members over the decades.
